Get Off The Couch Potato is Busy!
The Inaugural San Luis Obispo Marathon + Half takes place on Earth Day 2012 (April 22), as well as a 5K race. The Marathon and Half Marathon races are benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through their Team In Training program. The 5K will benefit the local chapter of Special Olympics in San Luis Obispo. Registration is open!

The Central Coast Cancer Challenge, a multi-sport event, Wellness Expo and Concert, was born from four women whose lives have been touched by cancer. These days there seems to be only one degree of separation, if that, of knowing someone who is battling the disease. Well, we wanted to do something about it.
Our first event in 2010 raised $12,000 for two cancer support charities. Last year, the event donated $13,000 to Jack’s Helping Hand and Cancer Wellfit. That’s $25,000 in two years!! In 2012, we will again support Jack’s Helping Hand and Cancer WellFit in their efforts to support cancer patients and their families.
Join us on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Laguna Lake Park for the Second Central Coast Cancer Challenge. We’ll have registration available soon!
